What is your agency communicating and/or doing about the Coronavirus?

Are agencies developing contingency work plans?

    Sherille,

We will be encouraging employees to work from home as needed. So far we haven't really had a need to ramp up our telework options however we are encouraging employees to bring home their laptops nightly, just in case.

Does anyone else have any thoughts or ideas on how to handle?

We've also been discussing what employee should do if one of their family members has been in one of the impacted countries or they have been on a personal trip. Should we require them to stay away from the office to lower the risk of sharing?

This is a great opportunity for the HR community to come together to share what your agency is doing.

Since most of our employees can and do telework at least one day a week, we have also provided additional instructions for them to take their laptops home nightly starting this week. We also updated our help website (that can be accessed outside of our internal web portal) with relevant information they might need.

We are following the same process for communication around hand washing and staying home if sick that we do during flu season.
