EnhanceD HR Tools

The Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) - Human Resources Administration (HRA) has developed a number of HR Tools to assist agencies in administering various HR laws and policies. Recent enhancements to the HR Tools are available on the DOAS website.

As you are aware, Rules of the State Personnel Board (SPB) have the force and effect of law for covered state agencies. To enhance understanding the process for revision of SPB Rules and the impact of modifications to the rules, the following tools are available:

  • Flow chart explaining the SPB Rule modification process, and
  • Summary of major modifications of the Rules from 2015 to date.

To view these tools, click here and then click on the menu item at the bottom of the web page labeled "Resources."

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate

The University of South Florida Muma College of Business offers a free, seven-week certificate program, sponsored by the Tampa Bay Lightning and Jabil, that focused on ways organizations can create a more diverse workplace as well as address equity issues and foster inclusivity.

The program consists of seven two-hour modules, all pre-recorded from the spring session. Modules may be viewed at any time before December 31, 2022; those opting to pursue the certificate and badge must pass all seven quizzes by this date as well.

Participants will learn how building and growing a workforce that includes differing races, religions, ages, genders and sexual orientations, and persons with disabilities can not only improve broad society issues but can also help companies develop novel business practices, increase revenue, and improve performance.
